Fire Island Kismet
Kismet is one of the small communities inside Fire Island National Seashore, all of which are reachable only by ferry or by foot (unless you're one of the lucky dozen or so allowed to have a car in the park). Kismet is the closest community to a parking lot - about a mile and a half away - although you're not allowed to park there overnight. In between the parking lot and Kismet is the Coast Guard
